free spirit ski group toronto mississauga ontario skiing lessons club

Our ski training group has been running successfully for over ten years but due to a liability insurance requirement that has been put on our ski group, we unfortunately will not be able to run our ski program as it stands anymore. However, we are not willing to give up on our many ski friends made through our group yet!

So for the 2023-2024 ski season, we are going to try some new things. Instead of ski day events with ski lessons as our main focus, we will run ski social days. These will hopefully enable our group skiers to still come out and ski with others with similar ski skills levels as well as have some great social time on and off the slopes later inside the chalet during lunchtime.

Note that coming to our ski social days does not necessarily mean that any of our certified ski instructors will be skiing with you on the slopes. We will leave that up to each individual instructor on how he or she wants to spend their slope time each day. If one of our ski instructors do end up skiing with you, don’t expect a ski lesson class. It will be a casual recreational ski time but for real ski training opportunities, our optional ski video analysis described below will hopefully be of value.

Optional Ski Video Analysis

Additionally as a next best alternative to actual on slope ski lessons which we cannot run anymore this season, we will continue to offer our extremely popular ski video analysis. We will still be able to shoot our group skiers skiing down the slopes on video. Then back indoors, we can have our team of certified ski instructors do a detailed analysis of your skiing based on what we see on your video. You can choose from our attending team of instructors which one you want to do your ski video analysis. Participating skiers will also get their video footage transferred onto their cellphones.

The ski video analysis is totally optional at all of our ski social days. The timing for this activity will be detailed on each ski social day at our Events section. We might also be able to do a ski video analysis on other days of the week besides our scheduled ski social days if arranged and booked in advance.

Since our ski instructor team will not be teaching ski lessons this season, they will be putting their hearts and souls into each ski video analysis they do. So to help appreciate their time and efforts, there will be a modest fee for each ski video analysis as follows (these same payment links below will also be at each ski social day event webpage);

Single Ski Video Analysis – $19 +HST (or $20 cash on site)

Set Of 3 Ski Video Analysis Sessions Usable All Season – $49 +HST (or $50 cash on site)

The above secure online payment links take you to our payment system which accepts credit cards and PayPal but note that it does charge the equivalent amounts in US currency and the vendor name is Free Spirit Gallery.

We hope that despite the inability to run actual on slope ski lessons this season, our group skiers will still find value and fun participating with us.
