About Free Spirit Ski & Scuba
Free Spirit Ski & Scuba has been running for several years although without any official group name. It started out as a Meetup group but has since left that platform and is now on this website as well as on its own Facebook group page.
The group was started by Clint Cora, a CSIA certified ski instructor since 2000 who taught at Gray Rocks resort in Quebec for two seasons followed by six seasons at Glen Eden in Milton, Ontario. Since becoming an independent private ski instructor, Clint has been teaching skiing steadily for several years with his own group.
In addition to teaching skiing, he also continues to train with his own higher level ski coaches each winter as he believes that there’s always room for ski improvement which is why Free Spirit Ski has a ski training focus. The ski group offers ski lessons locally in Ontario all winter long and also runs special ski camps in Quebec and the Rocky Mountains.
After the winter ski season is over, Free Spirit Ski & Scuba shifts into dive mode and organizes dive days for certified scuba divers locally in Ontario as well as fly away dive trips to tropical destinations. Clint is a NAUI Divemaster certified scuba diver and has dived all over the world including various dive destinations in the Caribbean, Central America, Hawaii, Egypt Red Sea, Mexico, Philippines and Galapagos Islands – see Clint’s diver profile here.
Free Spirit Ski & Scuba has its own YouTube video channel and we invite everyone to subscribe to it as well as hit the Like buttons on the many videos already posted there as these will help our channel out a lot.
An interesting side point is that Clint also happens to be a former member of the Canadian National Karate Team and had an international martial arts competition that spanned 20 years resulting in winning world championship titles – for more about Clint, see his Clint Cora website.
Sometimes he will teach a self defense seminar for members and friends of Free Spirit Ski & Scuba as part of contributing to community safety. There is already a free stretch exercise class he teaches that is available on video anytime for our group skiers and scuba divers.
Free Spirit Ski & Scuba helps bring like minded people together to participate in both snow skiing and scuba diving in a socially fun plus supportive atmosphere. Although most of our members usually participate in just one of these two activities, a few of them do ski and scuba dive with us making them year round members.
