Trying To Get On One Of These Scuba Liveaboards

Even though I haven’t even gone on my Little Cayman dive trip yet which is scheduled for mid May, I’m already planning and researching for a end of dive season trip to Raja Ampat in Indonesia. I would love to get on one of these scuba liveaboards; Panunee, Lady Denok, Sea I See and Sea Safari 8. There are quite a few dive liveaboards that cover both Raja Ampat and Komoda areas of Indonesia but the four I’m targeting all happen to have single passenger cabins as well.

I would be happy securing a cabin in any of these four scuba liveaboards and although the two with the sails (Lady Denok and Sea Safari 8) look nicer and more interesting, they are older boats. The two newer ones (Panunee and Sea I See) are more modern inside and out plus possibly more quiet according to reports. But again, I would be happy to get on any of them.

I’ve been on only one dive liveaboard so far which was my dive trip to Galapagos (I made a video tour of the actual boat I was on). I met many divers on that trip as well as others who nowadays book only liveaboards whenever they dive travel. It’s an awesome way to dive travel but certainly not cheap nor relaxing as they are intensive four dives per day for the entire time you are out at sea.

I’m targeting Raja Ampat for end of November into December since that’s the start of the dive season for that specific region. If any divers are interested in getting on this trip, just let me know. In the meantime, I’ve added a clickable banner link at the right side column of this website for the Liveaboard.com agency that books liveaboards worldwide. This is a great website to browse different scuba liveaboards everywhere to see types of boats (with interior/exterior photos), itineraries as well as costs. Even if you don’t see yourself going on a liveaboard in the near future, it’s a great website to just look at to get an idea of the liveaboards option in scuba diving travel.
