Scuba Diving Group Based In Ontario
Free Spirit Ski & Scuba group shifts its focus to scuba diving as soon as the winter ski season is over. We try to take advantage of the warmer local Ontario water temperatures during the summer with dives each weekend through to fall. Certified scuba divers are welcome to join our dives every Saturday as we prefer easy access shore dives (and low cost) at Humber Bay West in Toronto and other locations in Southern Ontario.
There are no group costs to participate other than renting whatever scuba gear divers need as well as their own transportation to the dive sites. However, these local dives are for certified scuba divers who are fairly comfortable with basic dive skills and are able to follow a group during dives. Most of our local dives are organized by Clint Cora, a certified Divemaster – see his diver profile here.
Those who have not dived for over a year may want to take a refresher dive with an instructor before coming to dive with our group and those who are not yet certified scuba divers must take the basic open water course (NAUI, PADI, SSI) before they can participate with our scuba diving group.
Our local dives are great for socializing with like minded people since us scuba divers are a select group of people as well as to maintain dive skills. Our dive intervals in between dives as well as post diving are great for our dive members sharing information about world dive travels as well as scuba gear.
In addition to our local summer dives in Ontario, Free Spirit Ski & Scuba will also try to organize at least one fly away dive trip to a tropical destination somewhere either in the spring or fall seasons.
